Samsung offers so -called "flip cases" for several of their phones. It is a kind of a case that is attached to the back of the phone (instead of the original battery cover) and can be folded over the screen. We will now review the Samsung official flip case for the giant Galaxy Note 2. The product comes in a plastic package that contains only case.

The actual cover acts and feels just like the cover that comes with the phone and it is also fixed and removed in the same way. The difference is the protective flap that folds over the front of the phone, with holes for the speaker above the screen so that calls can be carried out with the front flap closed.

We cannot say exactly what material the front flap is made, but its outer textured surface is both smooth and rough at the same time. The case is also pleasant to hold, as it improves the grip. The inside of the case is naturally soft and gentle on the screen. We happened to be aware that both the outer and inner material is substantially water-repellent, which is a bonus.

The advantages of this kind of Galaxy Note 2 case are obvious: case offers protection for the screen when the device is in a bag or pocket and also ensures less dust landing on the screen when the phone is, for example, placed on a table. As many colour options are available, you will see that your Note 2 also becomes prettier and more fun than ever before. When the Note 2 flip case is closed, the device almost feels better in the hand than before.

The list of disadvantages is also present. An already heavy and unwieldy phone becomes even heavier and clumsier. When the phone is used, front flap either hangs loosely to the side or is folded so it lies parallel to the back cover. When the protective flap hangs loose, you cannot grip the phone in the normal way and when it is folded back, it becomes less comfortable to hold the device. It is also slightly more difficult to access the volume buttons on the left side.
