The iPhone 4 case by Sena is not the sole leather case available on the market. The company has competed lately with other manufacturers of iPhone 4 cases, however, it is certainly well-positioned, as it has been retailing leather wallet cases for iPhone 4 for many years now.

The WalletSkin iPhone 4 case is the more compound of the two styles. A leather play-through , the material is as smooth as one could expect from this manufacturer, with a design that delivers decent protection for the rear and fore sides, and edges of the smartphone, although all four corners and nearly all of the top are left unprotected. The rim around the display is virtually entirely wrapped, with the oddity of an opening at the top for the light sensor, earpiece, and camera, and a scoop at the lower side for the Home key.

The iPhone 4 case has a rear side flap that can be attached in place with a tab that juts out from the top of the fore side. Opening it gives away credit card slots on the flap itself, incorporating one with a plastic slot for an ID card, and two slots on the rear side of the iPhone 4 case. Slighter than putting an opening in the leather for the back camera and flash, the manufacturer decided to leave the corner fully exposed, showing a bit more of the glass back than one might like when the flap is open. Sena also incorporates a plastic belt clip set that can be clipped with a metal clip, if necessary.

As its name suggests, the WalletSlim iPhone 4 case is the slimmer of the two solutions. The customization is nearly identically the same as the WalletSkin iPhone 4 case, with just two dissimilarities. Most visibly, there is no rear flap, rather, owners must depend on only two credit card holders on the rear of the iPhone 4 case itself. The other dissimilarities are relatively trivial: the snapping tab is reset from its place centred position, and now relocated to the right when looking at the smartphone from behind. There is a tear drop-formed opening for the headset port and noise-reduction mic. Other than that, the materials perfectly fit, and holes are almost the same.

The WalletSkin and WalletSlim iPhone 4 cases share an almost identical design, with small dissimilarities here and there that do not actually affect rendition. The most visible dissimilarity is the absence of Home key protection on Sena’s designs. In general, one might consider this a minus, even though other leather iPhone 4 cases can impinge key sensitivity, so it truly comes down to personal preference. This put aside, price is the vastest distinguishing factor. Even though the materials are fine, the sides are a bit sturdy and the the open corner on the rear is not of much help. This is why the WalletSkin iPhone 4 case earns an average recommendation. Both iPhone 4 cases could be advantageous to extra device shielding; a test for leather iPhone 4 case manufacturers.
