Several tests were performed on the S3, and even though we all know how powerful and inventive this smartphone is, we are all unsure about how well will the Galaxy S3 battery perform. Good news is that it is surprisingly good, based on what we are all used to when it comes to smartphones nowadays.

After the test of the Galaxy S3 battery was done, the results were as follows - 10 hours of talk-time (which is an hour and a half better than that of the Galaxy S2, and almost two and a half hours than that of the iPhone 4S.) As for the video playback, the Galaxy S3 battery again proved better with 10 hours, while the iPhone 4S and Galaxy S2 managed 9 hours 20 minutes and 8 hours respectively. Now a few facts that certainly impinge the Galaxy S3 battery usage. The huge 4.8-inch Super AMOLED touch screen of the S3 is sure to be a significant Galaxy S3 battery drain, as is the boastful quad-core processor. This is why the Galaxy S3 battery test results are even better when taken proportionally. Hopefully, one day smartphones will have a long-lasting battery, as it was the case with non-smartphone devices that held the device on for even 4-5 days. Before we live up to that day, we have to be satisfied with the Galaxy S3 battery, being the best so far among the sea of smartphones.

On the other hand, there are some downsides. In terms of Internet browsing, the battery for Galaxy S3 does not live up to our expectations. Believe it or not, but it last just over 5 hours, which is significantly less than the iPhone 4S's seven hours. The good thing is that it is better than the S2's four and a half hours. Unfortunately, you will need to turn off Wi-Fi when not in use, in order to preserve your Galaxy S3 battery. Of course, do not even think about activating 3G connection if you want to grab a few hours more of your Galaxy S3 battery.

Even though these Galaxy S3 battery tests were performed on a pre-ordered model, it is not likely to expect significantly different results with the actual release. Well, we all do hope to see a better Galaxy S3 battery, believing that Samsung has improved the official Galaxy S3 battery and made it more efficient.

Currently on the market, Samsung S3 is perhaps one of the best smartphones. Not only does it feature an appealing and snazzy design, but it also comes with amazing features and functions. Even though it is hard to fathom that smartphone batteries cannot hold up for two days or more, an improved is obvious and it is rising linearly. Therefore we should be satisfied with what the Galaxy S3 battery can offer at this moment.
