iPhone 4 Cover - Otterbox Defender

However, do not let the higher price-tag startle you, the construction quality of the Defender iPhone 4 cover, as well as practicality fit it perfectly.
The Defender iPhone 4 cover provides several layers of protection for your device. The fit and finish are just astonishing. Even Apple would be under difficulties to do it in a finer way. It has a soft lined, sturdy plastic inner cover surrounded by a soft and pliable outer silicone cover. Luckily, the Defender iPhone 4 cover is available with application guide.
The inner side of the iPhone 4 cover has plastic tabs that grip together both the front and back halves. It takes a couple moments of thinking about how to get it open, but it is unimaginably secure once in place.
The front of the Defender iPhone 4 cover provides an integrated clear screen protector for the front glass of your smartphone. Different from earlier version, this protector is very reactive to the touch and has a coating that repels fingerprints. There is no loss of touch reactiveness when using the iPhone 4 cover. The protector does get the infrequent bit of dust between it and the glass, mainly if you are keeping your smartphone in your bag or pockets. It is good to see that Otterbox has done an exceptional job addressing this problem, for the Defender cover for previous iPhone version lets significantly more dust into the cover and has that oily protector effect that is sometimes tiresome. The new Defender iPhone 4 cover is a real enhancement.
The outer silicone shell of the Defender iPhone 4 cover fits ideally and sits in place on your device. The volume keys and sleep switch are covered, however, they still function well. The jack for headphones and 30-pin connector port have flaps covering them, keeping undesired dust out. The flaps can be a little bit tricky to get in order, but once there they stay put. The mute switch is not covered, but even with the thickness of the cover, you can still use the switch effortlessly. Like all silicone iPhone 4 covers, dust tends to stick to it, but wipes off simply.
Maybe the most important consideration to make with the Defender iPhone 4 cover is its thickness. This is a trade-off you have to be willing to make if you want high level of shielding for your phone. The iPhone 4 cover adds notably to the volume of your smartphone, so it is perhaps not going to fit into any of your docks as a result. This is an individual option, but you will most likely feel much more secure with the Defender iPhone 4 cover.
