Official Samsung Flip Case for Galaxy S3

I am happy to be able to get my hands on a Samsung official accessory for the most popular phone in 2012 (and probably in 2013) of the South Korean brand: the so-called Galaxy S3.

The flip case for Galaxy S3 has a front opening with a flap which is clipped on the top of the smartphone. When the case is closed, a soft coating is positioned on the screen, made of microfiber that is especially gentle and protects the screen from scratches.

Cut-outs are provided for access to rear camera, speaker and sockets. It will however need to be opened to access the micro USB port.

Imitation of the leather seems to be made of a good quality, while the plastic is in my opinion a little "fake", but whatsoever, it provides the necessary protection.

The idea of the logo 'Galaxy S III' on top I like, but as noted just above the finish could be slightly higher, and finally and especially an official label on Galaxy S3 case.

However, the cover is easy to set up and the whole Galaxy S3 case + Galaxy S3 itself is still quite thin.

Pros:

  • the fineness of manufacture
  • the presence of the wording "Galaxy S III' on the front flap
  • the inner lining for the screen

Cons:

  • uneven finish for formal events
  • the need to open the Galaxy S3 flip case to recharge the phone

The product is sold at a price of around € 23. There are also black and blue versions of this Galaxy S3 case.

Musubo RubberBand Galaxy S3 Cover: mummifies your Galaxy S3!

The RubberBand Case for Galaxy S3 by Musubo is a protective plastic cover. Available in multiple colours (black, green, magenta, purple, red, pink, blue and white), it offers a more original design imitating paper strips or ropes.

Cuts are there to allow you easy access to ports, camera and speaker.

For the side volume keys and ignition, at first you might think they have been forgotten. In fact, there is nothing in: on each side beyond 1 or 2 strips to indicate the position of the button and the inside of the accessory are positioned reinforcements at these locations to facilitate the support, all seems pretty clever.

The cover for Galaxy S3 comes with a small retractable and adjustable stand, which is rather nice to place the smartphone landscape or portrait mode on a table.

Pros:

  • the apparent solid design
  • the original design

  • the trick for the side keys
  • the Galaxy S3 screen protector provided
  • side ring which can still be useful
  • packaging: big plastic box rigid and elastic worked well

Cons:

  • the price a little high
  • packaging (if one sets a green perspective, WTF?!)

It is priced at approximately € 30 .
