It was important to offer musical enjoyment at the highest level through technology, and to connect it with design, so the introduction of Bang & Olufsen in the latest headphones to the second brand, B & O Play, the in-ear headphones Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay H3 and the over -ear headphones Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay H6.

For some time Bang & Olufsen offers products under a new brand, as the company puts it, a so-called second brand, and although the B & O BeoPlay series. The aim of this procedure is clearly to reach new customer segments, namely a rather younger buyers, but especially is quite quality conscious, very design-oriented, but has so far been very little to do with products from Bang & Olufsen. The manufacturer is about that with B & O BeoPlay the craft and technological values of the Bang & Olufsen to be implemented in new contemporary products that have a superior quality, and are aligned to an active and mobile lifestyle. Since about a year Bang & Olufsen tries to establish this second brand, now we first presented headphones in this series, and thus - according to the definition - precisely those products that probably in the future belong to the core business of this brand.

Accordingly, much effort should have been operated in the development of these two headphones, because it was, the producer, music on the go as authentic as possible to reproduce. This will be achieved inter alia through the use of modern technologies.

Basis for the development were extensive studies about the shape and contour of the human ear, so that a suitable design for achieving the best possible sound experience could be found. It was only possible to really be able to represent every detail and to realize a unique frequency response of the headphones, the company said in the corresponding transmission.

This applies of course not only for the running as In-ear Headphones Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay H3, but also to the over-ear headphones Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay H6.

As already set the In-ear Headphones Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay H3 on a 10.8 mm drivers with so-called micro bass port to provide a dynamic and balanced listening experience. An important aspect is also the aluminum enclosure, called a unibody casing of the headphones, which constitute a solid base and is equipped with 23 air vents for an always distortion-free. From a technical point of view this means that the Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay H3 offers a frequency response of 20 to 16,000 Hz and has a sensitivity of 100 dB with an impedance of 18 ohms.

The headphones brings it to 12.8 grams and is equipped with a cable with a length of 1.35 m. This includes an integrated remote control and a microphone, the headset is therefore used in conjunction with smartphones as a headset.

At Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay H6 is, as already mentioned, a so-called over-ear headphones, which has a driver with a 40 mm, which is driven by neodymium magnets. The drivers are arranged in a particular angle to create a constantly uniform radiation to the operator's ear is achieved and no frequency range is particularly dominant advantage. Rather, the aim was to achieve a neutral possible reproduction over the entire frequency range between 20 Hz and 22,000 Hz here. The Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay H6 Although designed as a closed headphone, but still offers inside a bass port to achieve a balanced performance even in the bass range. With an impedance of 30 ohms of the headphones should have a sensitivity of 97 dB. Even with this headphone waived Bang & Olufsen not integrated into a 1.25 m long cable remote control and a microphone, so it can be used as a headset.

The base of the earpiece is also aluminum, the joints of the headphones are made of metal and thus designed for long term stability. In addition, the manufacturer relies on leather, a couple of plastic items, as well as a high-quality textile cover. So it brings the headphones to around 230 grams A special feature of the Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay H6 has the ability to connect multiple headphones with each other, and to be able to enjoy music in the group. This Bang & Olufsen uses a so-called daisy-chain connection technology, which is based on the Monster Music Link functionality of Monsters Inc.. In addition, the headphones can be folded together to stow easily in any time.

The industrial designer Jakob Wagner is responsible for both headphone models from the Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay series, which the Company believes to be an exciting and vibrant design selected, connect the quality and functionality.
